A Playful, Nature-Filled Summer Wedding at Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm | Justine & Kevin

Justine and Kevin’s August wedding at Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm was joyful, earthy, and completely true to who they are. Set in Jobstown, their day celebrated their love for the outdoors and everything natural. Wildflowers, open fields, and animals on the property made the setting feel perfect for them. Justine got ready upstairs in the farmhouse mansion with her girls. The morning was full of laughter and energy. She wore white cowboy boots and fully embraced being her fun, goofy self. Kevin got ready downstairs in the Mansion before they met for their first look in the sunflower field. Surrounded by bright blooms and soft poppies, the moment felt vibrant and emotional. We spent time taking portraits in the fields and capturing playful family photos. Their dog, Blue, also joined for the day and made the sweetest addition to their photos and ceremony. Even their horse, Dixie, was included in spirit with custom details like pet portraits on their reception napkins.

Their ceremony took place on the lawn beneath a canopy of trees. The shade offered relief from the summer sun, while the space felt intimate and calm. It was emotional, heartfelt, and full of personality. Cocktail hour followed outside the stone barn, where guests enjoyed fresh oysters, lawn space, and golden hour light as it softened across the property. Before heading into the reception, Justine and Kevin ran into the fields toward the cows for a few final photos. Inside, the reception design was creative and deeply personal. Moss-covered table numbers and fruit- and vegetable-themed tables reflected their connection to nature. Each table had its own color palette and floral design, including a corn-themed table as a nod to their roots. The night quickly turned into a full celebration. Guests danced, laughed, and let loose on the dance floor. Outside, a bonfire and cigar bar gave people space to unwind. A large dessert spread added the perfect finishing touch. It was a fun, meaningful, and unforgettable wedding from start to finish.
