Deep emotion paired with effortless style makes this summer wedding at Rule of Thirds truly memorable

Starting the day off at The William Vale, Ziyu set a laid-back effortless atmosphere with delicious salads and a few handfuls of Polaroids. Her makeup, hair, and bridal gown all conveyed effortless, chic style with a beautiful bun, natural makeup, and a unique Lola Varma gown.  Her parents who traveled internationally, got to see their daughter on her wedding day. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room overlooking the New York skyline. Alex got ready with the Empire State Building in the background of their rooftop apartment. After a very eventful subway ride, Ziyu and Alex got to share their first look at the William Vale greenery area. Finally together, they had a celebratory champagne toast with their wedding party before walking to their venue, Rule of Thirds.

Their wedding ceremony was so emotional. Alex’s emotions were already swelling at the sight of all their family and friends from near and far gathered in the naturally lit greenery filled space. Alex cried as Ziyu walked down the aisle. Holding his hands over his chest as if his heart would explode at the sight of his bride, everyone else started to cry at his reaction. When the heartfelt vows were exchanged and the ceremony had ended, a full blown celebration was in store. Golden hour light filled cocktail hour outside as the candle lit reception space was decorated. Ziyu and Alex had collected all the empty wine bottles shared with family and friends during their engagement journey. Those bottles were then noted with who they shared it with and the date. Guests were overcome with gratitude as they found those bottles as reception decor, a reminder that they were valued in their lives. The speeches were SO funny. They brought everyone to tears to deep belly laughing back to tears.  The rest of the evening consisted of Ziyu and Alex showcasing their ballroom dance skills with their electric first dance, two outfit changes, bread cutting (instead of cake), and disco ball lit dancing!
