Exploring the Catskills for surreal engagement photos!

With adventure in the lush Catskills of New York in mind, Jessica and Matthew explored Minnewaska State Park Preserve! Right next to whimsical New Paltz and a short drive from Albany, this location was perfect for them! They are both upstate New York nature lovers, chasing sunsets on summits and watching waterfalls flow swiftly into green forests. We started the hike with a stroll to Awosting Falls, known for its 60-70 foot drop! It was late autumn at the time, yet some colorful leafs still clung to the trail sides. Next we headed to Upper Lake Minnewaska which has had a special place in my heart since the first time I hiked it. Wow – just the beautiful sense of peace that lingers in that cliffside air. The tall boulders and wide lake makes for the most incredible golden hour photos as the sunsets behind you!

I’m so excited for their wedding in 2026! Continuing to showcase their love for luxury in nautre, they will be getting married at Lodge at Schroon Lake! They are making it a whole wedding weekend – chilling in the cabins and soaking up the beauty of  the Adirondacks!
